Architecturally, Reid Library is a wonderful space in which to study. Unfortunately, as it stands today it is more a glorified Internet cafe and social club than a library. Expect to see more empty pizza boxes than books, more baristas than librarians and more socialising than study. It really doesn’t offer much beyond what your local coffee shop with free wifi and a good pair of noise cancelling headphones does. One can only hope that UWA one day decides to return to the illustrious institution of study it once was.Update 2023: congratulations, UWA -- Reid Library now has more surveillance cameras than books. If you're a fan of having a camera 3 feet from your face at any given point in time, Reid Library is for you! The hastily-added cameras only serve to further diminish Reid's architectural stature through UWA's ineptitude. The Library's gradual conversion to a 24 hour lab is almost complete, leaving all the other 24 hour labs unloved and unused. Perhaps they should move the books to the old labs?

Very spacious library with a lot of group and individual study spaces.

Excellent environments to study in. Plenty of seats, spacious enough with power everywhere. Taking away one star is for the poor internet connection.

Honestly an absolute perfection. While the design of the ground floor clearly prioritises the look over comfort, it is still a great place to socialise, while the upper floors off spectacular places to study, and are just awesome conceptually.

The building is a bit old and it doesn't seem like the desks are cleaned properly as it has dust on them and the toilets are old as well.. But the ground floor toilets are way cleaner! Though its a bit too loud to study on ground floor and the tables are always full of students and dirty from food/ oil stains. But the 2nd and 3rd floor are a nice place to study

A great library overall!! I have stayed many nights here to prepare my exams and reports. I love all the ducks outside of the library! They are so lovely and always make me a good day!

Great place to study. Plenty of computers around.I love the silent areas, but sometimes nearby conference rooms generate enough noise to be heard in silent rooms. Not their fault perhaps a bit of design issue.24 hours access during study periods which does come in handy. There are several vending machines and hot water taps on the ground floor.

Nice space. Also has cafe within library – which is open late and sells good coffee and ok food for tired brains.

I enjoyed using the study rooms! The bottom floor is nice and refreshed and the cafe has been upgraded. Will be using this library throughout the year. However, the minimalist design gives off an empty, cold atmosphere. What were they thinking with the colour choice as well? The muted ugly swamp green study rooms and grey carpet and roof choices makes me feel like I’m walking into an office that I will spend the rest of my life rotting away in. But enjoyed visiting!
